What’s the eligibility and how do I apply?

If you are not currently working full time (whether on Centrelink benefits or not) you can ask to be referred to the NEIS program. To do this you can either make a request directly through your jobactive provider for a referral or send your own enquiry.

If you are making your own enquiry you will need to make sure you describe your current employment situation (if you are on benefits, please include the name and location of your current jobactive or DES provider) and provide a short description of your business idea.

Please note: The NEIS program is for eligible jobseekers and entry into the program will only be offered to those with a viable business idea who satisfy the program criteria.
